Hi friends, I am so excited to share something brand new with you! My heart, from the first time I shared my story of depression, was to encourage others who are struggling. I have received countless emails and sometimes even comments from readers who struggle also.
That said, I have noticed that it is VERY hard to have a conversation or discussion or much community in the comments section. There are other blogs that may be better at doing this, but mine has not taken off in this direction.
So…I’m creating a CLOSED and PRIVATE place just for us to do that! I have created a closed Facebook group where I am inviting any of my readers to join us!
Here is what I want the group to be:
1. Anyone who has a struggle that would like prayer and to give/receive encouragement. This could be depression, anxiety, bipolar, postpartum depression, ANYthing, any mental illness but it also does not have to be mental illness.
2. A place of encouragement and prayer, NOT a place of judgement or condemnation.
3. A place to share our stories and share tips and what has helped with each other.
4. This will NOT BE A BLOG PAGE. I want to emphasize that. This isn’t about numbers or my name or anything like that. Just a community of encouragement that I pray will be a blessing. To that end, I am asking folks NOT to come and spam us with links. If you are participating in the conversation on this page and then want to share a link to something that has been helpful to you or to encourage, please do so!
Instructions for Joining
So, here is what you need to do — we need to be FRIENDS on FACEBOOK for me to ADD YOU to the group! 🙂 You can friend me (and please send me a message to tell me who you are because I do get friend requests that I ignore from time to time, just because I don’t know who the person is or how we are connected.)
After we are friends, please message me or email me to let me know you’d like to be added to the group! If we are already friends, send me a message or comment here to let me know!
Looking forward to connecting with you in this new space. Praying for hearts to be encouraged and hope restored.
