Quick Video

Here is a short video where I talk about WHY and HOW I write & pray the Word!

Why Write the Word?

Take a quick moment and think about the things you write down throughout your day. Now, you may be more digital than I am, but I still WRITE in an actual paper planner, I write down my grocery list, notes to my kids, in my prayer journal…you get the idea.

But, why do we write things down?

We write things down that we want to remember.

Why wouldn’t we want to write down the most important Words there are?

His Word is life to us — write it down!

His Word is a treasure — treat it as such!

His Word is comfort to us — allow Him to comfort you as you write.

His Word is conviction to us through His Holy Spirit — soften your heart as you write. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life as you write and pray His Word.

I'm just a messed up mama in need of God's fresh new mercies daily. My husband and I live in beautiful East Tennessee with our 3 children. God has taken me on a journey through the valley of depression and is teaching me to pray the Scriptures as a result. I hope and pray that you will be encouraged whenever you stop by this little place on the web.

  1. I ordered and paid for the One Year in the Psalms. How long does it take to receive this? I assumed I would get an email with the attachment or the link to download.
    Thanks,

  2. Hi there. I’ve recently come across your blog and am excited to start “writing the word”….which might be a good one to start with? Also, I am a homeschooling mom and have thought to do one of the books with my almost 8 year old. Surely, it might take longer than a month, but which book might be a good start for an 8 year old to start copying?
    thanks

  3. I just wanted to thank you for the Write the Word printables. They have helped me reflect and spend more time on each chapter in the bible. At the end of the month after I have studied the chapter, I read the whole chapter all the way through. This has helped me really take in and listen to what God is saying in the chapters. I truly appreciate this awesome idea and printable. God bless you. -Lisa

  4. Are you planning on doing all the books of the Bible? I’m looking for a Bible reading plan that I could do, and was wondering if you were going to end up doing all 66 books?

    1. Katie, I do not currently have a plan to create a guide for each book of the Bible. I’m sorry! These shorter books take about a month, so that would be YEARS of writing. 🙂 And it’s just me working on the blog, I don’t have time at the moment to create that many new plans. I do hope to continue to share new ones periodically!

      1. I would totally pay $20 for a pair of used jeans that are both comfy and flattering. As it is, I have not a single pair that do both!We have a small Goodwill and an even smaller Salvation Army, and I wish we had about a dozen more thrift shops here. We do have several “antique” stores that are all old junk with huge prices, but I don’t shop there. Ahh, to live someplace with thrifting opportunities!

  5. I have printed all the Write the words sheet out that you have given us and have completed writing out each one,. My questions is are you going to be doing any more books of the Bible like this> I loved writing the word and I would like to see more of the books done like you did the others. If it is a bigger book and it has to go longer than a month, so be it. I really hope that you will consider doing more books like this. Thank you.

  6. I know this web page presents quality based posts and additional material, is there
any other site which gives such things in quality?
