“What do you want to wear to church today, Caleb?”
“a work shirt!”
Caleb calls button down shirts “work shirts” because those are what daddy wears to work.
He wants to dress like his daddy. I want to remember this precious thought…he wants to dress like his daddy.
What if we got up every morning and longed to dress like our Daddy?
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:12-14
How can I put on compassion today?
How can I put on kindness, humility, gentleness and patience?
How can I wear forgiveness as I go about my day?
And most beautiful of all, the love…how can I clothe myself with love?

Oh, what a neat comparison. We should want to look like and be like our Father. AND, I have to say that Caleb looked SO CUTE in his “work shirt”. I don’t know if i have ever seen him in a button down shirt, belt and khaki pants, and he just looked ADORABLE!!

LOL! I knew exactly what you were talking about when you said “work shirts”. Wesley used to call them that too!
