My kids and I recently had the opportunity to try out and review a game from Birdcage Press! I was excited to review this product because we love our birds around here. 🙂 Please check out the page for the Wild Cards: Backyard Birds card game page.
We don’t always get to nature study on a regular basis, but each time we have been intentional about learning about our surroundings, we have come away so blessed! I love studying God’s creation and adding a bird feeder to your backyard is such a simple way to actually invite the topics of study to come and visit you!!
The cards we received from Birdcage Press are high quality and I love the design. My kids and I enjoyed looking through the cards first, to figure out which of the birds on cards we had seen in our area. Then, my kids enjoyed playing the matching game and Go Fish with them. Â The booklet contains instructions for how to play 3 different games: Â Old Trickster ~ similar to Old Maid, Bird Memory ~ or concentration, and Go Fish for Birds.
Included in the set of cards you receive is a little booklet that tells more about the birds, what area they live in, what they eat and their behavior. It has been really fun for our family to read about a bird and then spot it at one of our feeders! God’s creation truly is amazing!!
This particular game is for ages 6yrs and up. You can purchase this set of game cards for $10.99 and also see the other wildlife & nature sets they have here. There are also artist sets, air and space sets, and history sets. I’ve already got my eyes on the Ancient Egypt set for our history studies next year!
