I’m so excited to share with you some brand new Latin resources from my friend, Pam!! We are using Prima Latina this year and so the timing of this resource is perfect for us! {I will be sharing our Top 10 Favorite Resources for Studying Ancient Rome soon, and Pam also has some FREE Roman puppets for download on her site!}
Race to the Colosseum is a game that will help your children review the Latin words they have learned thus far! I admit, with only the curriculum in front of us, my kids were getting bored with our review. But I knew that we HAD to find some way to review all the vocabulary we had been learning or this year was going to be a waste!
So, when I saw this printable game, I knew we had to try it!
When you purchase this game, you receive a download for the PDF file. I printed mine off on my own printer and then took it to a shop to have it laminated. I have a small laminator at my house, but this larger page would not fit. It cost a few dollars to have this laminated. I laminated all the game cards myself. To play the game, we printed, laminated, found dice and figures for each player and we were all set! The rules and instructions are also included in your download.
There are review questions that go along with Prima Latina and also Song School Latin!
My kids and I decided rather quickly that this was a MUCH more FUN way to review all our vocabulary.

I’m terrible about games! I’m not a game person and we honestly don’t do many which is bad because my girls love them. Maybe I should win this to help with that. : )

We like math games, and sight word games. This looks wonderful! Thanks for the offer.
I make up a lot of games: sight word/spelling word target, basketball with math facts or spelling words (wadded paper with the fact or word that they have to solve/read before they can shoot it into the trash can), a hide and seek game with math problems or words on cards that they find, not so much with the board games but I have used the Guess Who game to work on speech skills and question and answering skills.

We’re a big gaming family. Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Telestrations, Blokus, Battleship. You name it, we play it! We just started Song School Latin and this game would be a great review- and fit right in with our gaming tendencies!
We play lots of games on the road…Guess Who can be adapted to almost any topic, so it’s a good one. We started Song School Latin this year, and would love to win this game!
We play math noodles, many games from Relentlessly Fun Deceptively Educational, scramble slam, bananagramsbananagrams and those are just the ones I can think of right now. We my just finished our first year of Latin. This would be great to add to next fall’s studies.
We love playing Speed! It is a skip counting card game.
We learn a lot of our memory work through games! Such fun!
We love games! I call it sneaky learning. She’s having so much fun and often doesn’t even realize that learning is occurring. Just got Made for Trade for colonial times and no week is complete without bananagrams, or legos, or a concentration game for vocabulary, or, well you get the idea! This one looks like fun!
We love playing any games! We often start our Monday mornings with Yahtzee. 🙂
