Do You Believe?
Do you really believe that God can turn your ashes into BEAUTY? Take the trials of our lives and make something beautiful out of them? Use our suffering for His glory? Take the broken pieces of our heartache and make them into something beautiful? Sometimes when we look back on the hard things in our lives, we can see how God has redeemed situations or people or relationships. But, in the middle of it? That is a different story. In the middle of our trials, when we can look for the beauty, that is where faith steps in. Faith means we trust that God’s plan is bigger than we can see. Faith means we know God to be loving and kind, no matter how difficult the circumstance. Faith means we look for the eternal among the temporal, and we believe it is there. Faith means resting in Christ and being still before Him. Faith means we quit trying to fix the situation and turn our complaining to gratitude. Faith means counting our blessings instead of our complaints. Faith is what it looks like to believe God can take the scary situation we are in the middle of and use it for His glory and for our good. And even make something beautiful from it.

I actually have not started my Bible jourmaling adventure yet but I have made an art journal. With that, my favorite supplies are the mediums – gesso, matte medium, mod podge.

I just attended a Mom’s in Prayer gathering on saturday and the theme were these exact verses and this was a beautiful thing to read this morning. I have a confession. I haven’t started journaling in a Bible yet. I can still hear my Granddaddy telling me how precious the Bible is. Read it but don’t write in it, he would say. He had several well worn Bibles and beautifully written journals that he used for his studies. I have followed in his footsteps, but I so want to be the rebel and journal in my Bible. 🙂

I have contemplated the idea of Bible journaling, although I am not very artistic. I think it is a fabulous idea.
(Sports) These are great pads! All of my kids use them and they are different sizes. It really has a large range for fitting kids comfortably. They also seem more sturdy and more protective than others I’ve bought.

Yes, I enjoy Bible Journaling, but since I am not an artist my tools are quite basic. My favorite are highlighters specifically made for using in a Bible.

I so enjoy worshipping the Lord through my bible journaling. I recently gave a bible journaling class to our Women’s Ministry at church. About 52 attended and they got to experience it first hand through a bible practice page with my supplies and tools. I so enjoy using the Faith Illustrated tools the most.

I have done this when I was young, but the times were when you were not supposed to write much less draw in your bible, but sometimes it can be clarifying as long as you don’t get caught up in the drawing and not focusing on the word. Love the devotions

I’m not an artist, so my favorite supplies are washi tape, stickers, and random “findings.” And I don’t use a journaling bible, I like writing the scriptures, so I write them and then journal around them. It’s turned into my journal, bible journal, prayer journal all in one. And I love it! It’s the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing at night and feels like a continuous conversation with God.
I love keeping a faith journal and use water colour pencils and permanent coloured markers. Occasional you can find some good stickers. This kit looks great. I live in Canada but have a postal box in the US just in case that helps for the draw. Love this site – thank you and blessings.

At the age of 69 and having raised nine children. One biological and eight adopted, I have just now desired to purchase a journaling Bible and leave something tangible for my children to see and read. I was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer 4 years and 9 months ago. They have given me 3-5 years to live and if it jumps to another level, weeks to months. I had all the symptoms of MS and that is what they were looking for. So much more I could tell you. But the Lord gave me Paalm 118:17 and praise the Lord, I am still here. Looking for a new beginning at this stage in my life and walk with the Lord. Blessings and thanksgiving to you and your ministry !!!!
