Update: this give away is now closed! Congratulations to our winner, commenter # 8: Stephanie!! {Stephanie, I do not have any contact info for you, if I don’t hear from you in a few days, I will pick another winner! Thank you!}

After I posted my Homemade Coconut Oil Lotion recipe, I was pleasantly surprised with an email from the company Tropical Traditions that sells Gold Label Certified Organic Coconut Oil! They offered to send me a jar {free} for me to try it out, use it and then share with you!! I also get to have a give away for a jar…keep reading! 🙂

Virgin Coconut Oil, Gold Label – 1 quart

As soon as I got my wonderful package in the mail – which is a large jar compared to what I’ve been buying previously – I got to work!! 🙂

I made my next batch of lotion with the coconut oil, a new batch of granola for Christmas gifts and then tried out my first ever homemade lip balm with it!! {I will be blogging about the lip balm very soon! I’ve tried a few recipes, actually, and want to share what worked and didn’t work!}

All of my recipes turned out fabulously and I was very pleased with the quality of this coconut oil!! I also love that it is in a glass jar – that I can re-use. 🙂 This oil is actually creamier than the oil I have previously bought, which I like a lot!

I wanted to share that if you are still unsure about using coconut oil, here are some videos with recipes included for you to try! Also, check out this link that I have personally been reading and clicking through for more information and healthy benefits.
