I have heard many wonderful things about this program so I was very excited to try out the Bible Study Guide for All Ages! And, I’ll just go ahead and spill the beans: all the wonderful things I had heard were true! We have LOVED this program!
Bible Study Guide for All Ages is a Bible curriculum that can be used by churches for Sunday School or by families in their home schools. This curriculum will take your family (or students) through the Bible at the same time – all ages – studying parts of the OT and NT each year. To take your children through the entire Bible, there are 416 lessons total. This is NOT to be done in one year, thank goodness. 🙂 The program is broken up into 4 “units” that you can see here, and you could feasibly do 1 unit per year if you wished.
There are several parts to this program…you can pick and choose what you would like to do with your family.
We loved the Bible Book Summary Cards!! There is one large card for each book of the Bible and these are GREAT for helping children to remember the basics of what is in each book of the Bible! These cards have pictures on the front of them that will help the kids remember various stories and truths from that book, we used these to review each day as we started our school day. Here are a few pictures of some of the visual clues on the cards that I took with my phone:
The student pages that we received were for 5th-6th graders and so my girls both worked on these. These were perfect for their abilities and I love that the sheets had various tasks on them for each day! They were looking up passages in their Bibles, placing people/events on the timeline, reviewing things they had already learned and more. It is a great variety on this one page! Now, if you want to do these pages with multiple levels, you can order several levels at once. I chose not to have my son work on these pages, just because we are still focusing most of our time on reading & math with him, but he is listening in to our lessons and reviewing the student cards with us daily!
We did not receive the timeline and maps for review, but as soon as I opened my box and started looking through the curriculum, I got online and ordered it myself because I knew I was going to love this program! So, we have the timeline hanging in our school room now and I love it!! I didn’t have a place to hang it length wise, so I hung it up and down. 🙂 It works!
Here is a page that might be helpful for you in deciding what different items you need for the specific ages of your children. There are various prices on the items we received and then packages when you order lots of things together. The Bible cards are $24.95 for all 66 books, the student pages for ONE unit and ONE child are $5.95, the wall maps and timeline are $24.95, plus you have to purchase the people and names to go on it, which is $7.95 per unit. If you look here on this page you can see the various packages they offer!
