This is a new series here on my blog. I'm very excited about it. And a little bit afraid. You see, I keep reading online and hearing from other moms about how homeschooling families must be different...they must be brilliant, the homeschool mom must have all this patience, the homeschool mom must be uber-organized...and on and on. I'm here today {with this new series} to tell you the truth. Case and point #1: the above picture is my school room at 8am this morning. What is worse? It looks ... Monday Morning Praise
Gratefulness. It does something to your heart, doesn't it? It really and truly actually changes your heart. Or it has for me. Last week I had someone say some very unkind things to me. If you make it without the milk (which I have done before) you get a thicker quiche and then ... Read More about Crustless Sausage & Cheese Quiche

We used both the student workbook and the teacher manual. (We also received this booklet of Aesop fables but Caleb was not quite ready to begin this yet.) Since I was a kindergarten teacher in my "former life" I have really, really enjoyed teaching my own 3 children to read! Having them read to me has been one of my favorite ...
