There are just SO many wonderful ideas to go along with this time period in history!! I’m working right now on a huge ROUND-UP of fun ideas for just Egypt. Meanwhile, here’s what we’ve been up to with Winter Promise Quest for the Ancient World, weeks 3 & 4.
1. Emily working on our model of the Nile River!
2. Our finished model of the Nile River – grass will start growing soon!! This idea came from the The Story of the World, Activity Book 1!! There are also some fabulous directions and pictures here on this blog!
3. We learned about ziggurats (we learn about pyramids this coming week!) and we looked at ziggurats and created them out of legos. The kids also created them on Mine Craft! yay!! 🙂
4. Hannah and her ziggurat creation.
5. I am loving our Deluxe Then and Now Bible Map Book  — you can find the Biblical locations and then see where those places are in modern times.
6. Hannah’s pyramid drawing. She actually did this for a co-op class, but got the idea because of our history learning and reading.
7. We started mummifying a chicken in week 3!! We are going to watch it for several weeks! (if we can stand it!!) I will post updates of it as we go along. 🙂 I am also going to share a post on all 3 items we are mummifying!
