Romans 12:13
“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
Prayer:
You’ve given us such clear instructions, Father. Why do we complicate things? Help us, Father. We are nothing without You. We are desperate for You.

We talked yesterday about preparing our homes and preparing food as a way to show someone that they are WANTED in your home and in your life.
Today, I love how the author finishes up this chapter:
“The most important work is preparing yourself to receive others. Only you know what you need to do to make that happen. Is there someone to forgive? Is there someone to release? Is there a fear to abandon? Is there an attitude to adjust? We all have weapons to lay down and battles to call off before we can open up our hearts.” Radical Hospitality, p. 169
This gets to the heart of it all. Once again we are reminded that hospitality isn’t about a pretty home or the perfect recipe.
Hospitality is about the heart and it’s about the relationships with the people we are bringing into our homes and our hearts.
