Verse to Pray for Our Home
1 Corinthians 3:16
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?”
Prayer:
Lord, remind us daily that You are alive in us. May we feel Your movement in our lives, may we sense Your presence and then may we live as You would live.

I would LOVE to hear from you in the comments! How are you liking the book? What struck you the most??
“We have forgotten that we ought to pour ourselves out sometimes, and hold back at other times.” Radical Hospitality, p. 180
This is a great point for me to remember. I often think that by sharing my heart with someone that I’m letting them know I care by being vulnerable. But this doesn’t need to happen with every.single.person I sit down with. Maturing in the faith is learning when to speak and when to listen.
“Discretion requires you to respect someone without trying to be their best friend. Hospitality is not a call to unquestioning intimacy with the whole world.” Radical Hospitality, p. 180
This one is hard for me too. I’m kind of an “all in” person with some things at least. 🙂 I can’t open my home 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There comes a point where my heart needs rest and my family needs family time. Learning to find balance and boundaries is a hard part of this for me! Jesus gave and gave and gave of Himself…yet, we also see Him climbing the mountain for time in prayer with the Father.
What about you?
