“For Your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in Your faithfulness.”
Psalm 26:3
Steadfast means firm and unwavering. Loyal, faithful, committed, devoted.
Have you ever thought about God’s love for you being FIRM and UNWAVERING?
No matter what happened yesterday, no matter the mistakes of today, no matter the circumstances of the future…His love for you is steadfast.
For the times others are unfaithful, God’s love for you is loyal.
When others let you down, when you let yourself down, God remains committed.
If we know and believe God’s love for us is steadfast, how do we keep it ever before our eyes?
I think this is the key to this verse from Psalms. Keeping His love before us is a major key to living the abundant life He gives us. Fixing our eyes on Jesus is one of the most helpful ways to doing battle with the enemy and not losing heart.
How do we keep His steadfast love before us?
Memorize the Word.
Worship Him.
Praise Him.
Place His Word all over your home.
Do not forsake meeting with other believers.
Small steps of faith.
Great is His Faithfulness
When we keep His steadfast love before us, we are able to walk in the knowledge and security of His FAITHFULNESS.
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been thou forever will be.
Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Refrain
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Refrain

I wear a mustard seed to remind me of how faithful God is, and how little you faith can be on some days Indeed He is faithful.

Thank you for the idea I had so many Christian books and some Christian books and I have some missionary books but my bookcase for my Christian books is so overloaded and they’re all with books I haven’t read yet. I have a love for books and just can’t get enough of them and when I read them I give them away to friends or thrift stores. I’m getting back into Bible journaling again and some mixed media art so that should keep me busy. Thanks for the hint of more missionary books. I love that song, we use to sing it quite a bit when i went to a Baptist church but I’m back to an apostolic church, Anglican, so not at all now. Thanks for reminding me Candace. God bless and have a wonderful Sabbath!
