Next week we are going to learn all about frogs! FUN! We may actually start over the weekend, since we have a few “holiday” outings planned for Labor Day weekend. I’m excited about this unit!
A few books we’ll be reading
Activities, lessons and ideas
*Homeschool Share (HSS) has a frog lapbook!
*Read this poem, write it in our journals and illustrate.
I Have a Little Frog
I have a little frog
His name is Tiny Tim,
I put him in the bathtub,
To see if he could swim,
He drank up all the water,
And gobbled up the soap!
And when he tried to talk
He had a BUBBLE in his throat!
*simple worksheet with characteristics of a frog
*label the frog – simple version
*Here is a frog wordsearch
*Lately Hannah has really gotten into looking at google images to see pictures of different things, so we will probably look at pictures of all different kinds of frogs. Did you know that all frogs are not green? We will look for green frogs and other colored frogs too!
*Have a jumping contest – see if the children can jump 10 times longer than their body length like frogs can. We will measure and see how tall we are and then see how far we can jump!
*We will probably color a few of these frog coloring pages

Hello! I love your website and I want to thank you for sharing your HS journey as it is very inspirational!
Would you mind emailing me or blogging how you decide which units to do and how you prepare for them? I have so many ideas but they seem to get lost in the process.
Thank you so much, Julie
