Today we took the kids to a great place in Sevierville called the Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo! This place had a LOT of rainforest animals for us to look at, touch and learn about. When we arrived, we saw a presentation/show for about the first 20-30 minutes. At that time, we got to touch several of the animals as they brought them out. Then, we walked through the rest of the zoo and saw many more animals.
After the Rainforest Zoo, we headed to the park for lunch and then to the Fudgery! This was the perfect ending to our Rainforest unit study!! We learned a lot about the animals in the rainforest and then about the cacao tree which produces cocoa beans, thus chocolate. So, we watched a short demonstration at the Fudgery and then got our free samples! 🙂
