In this book, Mrs. Clarkson shares personal stories, struggles, scriptures and ideas that she has learned and used throughout her years thus far as a mother. She encourages us to embrace our God-given role as a mother. Sometimes, just going to walmart can be a discouragement to a mother in her calling. Not many people in our world today do embrace the calling of motherhood. That is one reason I appreciate Mrs. Clarkson’s books so much!
She also uses a lot of scriptures and talks about cultivating a heart and love for God’s Word. I love the prayers and thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter, too.
If you are needing some encouragement right now in your “mom walk” I’d encourage you to pick up this book! Another great thing about this book is that you can pick it up any time and read a chapter here and there…you don’t even have to remember what the last chapter was about! (which is helpful for moms like me who have a stack of books beside their bed and very little time to read them!) This is a book that I think I will pick up again in the future when I need a mommy “pick-me-up” and some encouragement to be the Godly mother that I long to be.

I have that one and The Mission of Motherhood–which I seriously read at least once a year! She always is able to give me a pick me up and refresh my vision.
