We just got home tonight from camping at the local state park! Camping is a lot of work: packing, setting up, food for the weekend, tearing down, packing again, heading home…not to mention 3 very tired, cranky and irritable kids after 2 nights of little sleep!
But, I know my kids LOVE it. They have a BALL when we are there…and for that reason, I guess we’ll do it again. Someday! LOL! This time around we took bikes and our kids rode bikes around “the loop” time after time. After time! We also played in the creek quite a few times, went to the pool 2x, went on nature hikes, roasted marshmellows, ate like kings and queens and had good times of fellowship with friends. I guess it’s worth it. 🙂
Oh and as for the injuries mentioned in the slideshow…nothing too major. Though, 3 kids getting hurt in one day while I had them by myself was enough to make me want to scream! 🙂 Emily was riding her bike around the loop and took a big fall, huge strawberry scrape on her elbow. Hannah fell at the pool and scraped up her knee pretty good. Caleb cut his finger with a knife. (don’t ask!) All that within a few hours span! Fun times!! Don’t you wish you could go camping with us next time?? ha ha…despite the injuries, we asked the kids and they are ready to go camping again!
Been waiting for pictures! Looks like a lot of fun! We are going in a couple of weeks! Can’t wait!
We, too, went camping for the weekend. It was a ton of work for us but Sydney loved it. Oh, the things we do…. Glad you had fun!

Can’t wait until our first trip scheduled for July at Lake Ontario. We have three trips reserved now and I’m sure we’ll take at least one if not two more.
