You have shown me just how selfish I really am; and helped me to smooth out some of those rough edges. Though there are still so many left.
You have taught me to lay my pride down.
You have taught me about grace. Amazing grace.
You have shown me the ugly sides of myself…and the beautiful.
You have taught me how to be a mother.
You have taught me what it means to put my own needs and desires on hold…even though I’m still not very good at that one.
You have taught me not to ever say never.
You have shown me new glimpses of God in your faces, your eyes, your beauty…and even your tantrums. 🙂
You have reminded me that sometimes I have to laugh at myself. (or at least talk myself down.)
You have taught me that one size definitely does NOT fit all in parenting!
You have taught me the true value of a “mother on her knees.”
You have given new meaning to the word “patience.”
You have taught me to learn to love in all new ways.
Oh, we’ve only just begun, sweet Hannah. Continue to teach me, my daughter. I have so much to learn. You are God’s gift to me!

Oh yes, what a lovely gift from God. Happy Birthday sweet Hannah. You were the first, and you have shown me what being a Nana is all about. You were the very beginning of the best times of my life. Nana loves you sweet girl. I just can’t believe that we have had you for 8 years! You surely can’t be that old, but oh how well I remember the day you were born. Thank you for making me a Nana!
