As you know, I just finished reading the Bible in 90 Days, and am coming off a “being in the Word daily for long periods of time” high. 🙂 I don’t want to give that up just because I finished the plan. God has been so good to meet with me as I’ve chosen to spend lots of time with Him and His Word, He is just so very faithful…I want to keep up that close connection and nearness to Him, as well as gaining His wisdom and His perfect Peace that only He can give.
So, when I read that Amy from Mom’s Toolbox was going to SOAP through the book of Proverbs in April, I thought, well that is a GREAT idea! I think I’ll join in! 🙂 If you aren’t familiar with her method of Bible study that she has coined, SOAP, check out the link, it is simple and good.
Now, I may not be able to share with you daily, but I hope to post through this month about the things God is teaching me and showing me through the book of Proverbs.
Would anyone like to JOIN ME as we study the book of Proverbs and pray for the wisdom that comes from that book?? I’d love to have some readers join along and share your insights with me!! I love learning from each other! 🙂
S – scripture
O – observations
A – application
P – prayer
That is the basic rundown of SOAP, prayer is so important as we seek to dig in more to God’s Word…I prayed last night over this new book I’m going to be reading and studying. I’ve read Proverbs before many times, but hope that I have at least a few days to really dig in there more and do some word study (possibly on wisdom) and am praying that God would continue to reveal Himself to me in this way as I trust Him and study His word.
So, who is with me?? Read Proverbs chapter 1 today and post back with any insights, encouraging words, or truths that God has shown you today! I’m going to be out of the house most of today, but hope to come back tomorrow and share about chapters 1, 2.

I’m with you, Candace. I need a jumpstart. I’m still on a self-imposed bloggy break until Monday (ha!), but I’ll post some observations next week, hopefully.
Have a blessed Easter!
