“He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens his lips shall have destruction.” Proverbs 13:3
Wow. Oh wow. How many times have your words gotten you in trouble? I am not the most talkative person, but, I can still safely say that I have said many things in my lifetime that I regret.
So, how can we keep a tighter watch on our words?
I think wisdom plays a huge role in this. And, what have we seen walk hand in hand with wisdom?
God has shown me before that there are many times in life that I just need to be still.
Silence. Why is it so hard to sit before God in silence?
Instead of leaving you with a bunch of words that I don’t feel adequate to share, I want to leave you with some words that will be a huge encouragement to you if you are struggling to find silence and be content in that silence. Scroll through these posts at A Holy Experience and see if you can find time to be silent before God this week. And make sure you scroll down far enough to see 5 Reasons to Regularly Make Silent Retreats in the Day.

Lovely post. It’s so true that we need those times of solitude and silence…even in the midst of chaos.
God’s blessings on your day!
