Our family continues to be heartbroken about my sister-in-law Macy. We are soooooo very thankful for the kind words and prayers of friends who surround us. It is times like this when the prayers of others truly become a ministry to your family. There is just no other way to explain it…but it means so very much.
Truly, prayer is a ministry. It is a ministry of hope. A ministry of encouragement and support. A mnistry that brings us together in the presence of the Father. A ministry that brings peace.
Here are some Scriptures I am praying over Macy right now.
“When Macy is set upon by bullies or assaulted by other wickedness, please help her and deliver her. Deliver her from the wicked and save her, because she takes refuge in You.” Psalm 37:40 {we are finding there are many bullies and much wickedness in the jails…even a tiny, small town one.}”
“Let Macy lie down and sleep in peace.” Psalm 4:8 {Macy tells us it is very hard to sleep, she is cold at night.}”
“Thank You that You have redeemed Macy and called her by name; she is Yours. When she passes through the waters (trials, temptations, peer pressure, suffering, and the like) be with her. When she passes through the rivers, do not let them sweep over her. When she walks through fire, do not let her be burned.” Isaiah 43:1-2
“Let Macy take refuge in You and be glad; let her ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over Macy that she may rejoice in You.” Psalm 5:11
“Give Macy victory and be her shield. Guard her course and protect her way.” Prov. 2:7-8
“Give Macy the weapons she needs to demolish strongholds, arguments, and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of You, Lord. Help Macy to take captive every thought she has to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Cor. 10:4-5

“I pray that Macy’s identity will be firmly rooted and established in Christ’s love, and that Macy may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and how long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that she may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Eph. 3:17-19
