1. Our home was robbed last night.
2. I was at church singing praises to the Lord while someone quickly came in and out of our home.
3. They took our fairly new tv.
4. They took my jewelry box.
5. I am more sad about the special jewelry that is gone rather than our tv.
6. But I feel I should be more upset about the tv. But, I’m not.
7. Emily was very worried and scared last night.
8. But when I went in her room to comfort her, she told me she was awake and praying for the robber.
9. Our roads are covered with ice.
10. I just watched my husband literally slide down the road trying to get to work. He didn’t turn around. Please pray.
11. We are iced in without a tv. Please pray. 🙂
12. The robbers did NOT get our kids Christmas gift hidden in my closet! yay! (a Wii.) However, now, we can’t play it…no tv. 🙂
13. It’s just stuff. Stuff. We weren’t home. I’m so thankful. The Lord keeps bringing this verse to mind and I am reminded, once again, of the true meaning of Christmas. It’s not stuff. It’s not presents. It’s all Him.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
I’m pondering my Treasure today. I’m thankful. I’m blessed.

Goodness gracious Candace! What a thing to come home to after worship…
HOWEVER, I adore the fact that your daughter was praying for the robber- you are raising those kiddos down the right path girl!

Oh my lands! I’m so sorry!! How awful. While the whole situation is terrible, I agree that you are doing something right when she was praying for those who did this.

Praying for you! It is very unsettling to have that happen. We did a few years ago…but they entered our camper that is hidden in our backyard. They stolen a few things in there. We felt very on edge for awhile. I will pray that God will give you and the kids peace.

Praying for your family! Most stuff can be replaced, and what can’t be replaced doesn’t matter in the end! (I’m struggling to teach my son this.)
Cindy says
I’m so sorry. Thankful for all the big ways God is watching out for you, though!
