**I accidentally posted this early, so I’m going to go ahead and leave this up! Maybe by Wednesday we’ll have a few links to browse and read through! Share your links below! 🙂
Please share with us, from your blog, your own WEDNESDAY WISDOM!
I have put a link-up tool down at the bottom of this post…please share with us a post from your blog, it can be a variety of things…a great book you are reading, a passage of Scripture that the Lord is using in your life, any WISDOM you have on your blog that you’d like to share with us here!! I LOVE finding out about new and great books, so I’m excited to see your posts!! 🙂
So…now to a little wisdom from God’s Word for us today!! This is the next verse I’m memorizing with Beth Moore’s blog for the Siesta Scripture Memory Team!
“Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” Psalm 86:11
As soon as I read this verse, the word “undivided” jumped out at me. So, I have been working on memorizing this verse as well as PRAYING this verse to the Lord, many times a day!!
But, I really struggle with this. How exactly do I have an undivided heart? Is it even possible while we are here on earth? What does that look like in our busy lives today? I feel pulled in so many directions so often, getting overwhelmed…it has been a journey for me just in learning to say NO to good activities. But, it’s still hard…we all have duties as wives, mothers, teachers, friends, church, the list goes on…
How do we have undivided hearts? Are there things I can do to work towards this? In my heart, I know I have love and devotion for the Lord…but I don’t know about “undivided.” But, I want it! I want God to be my complete and total focus…I want to go through my day praying without ceasing – in the difficult mommy moments, when I’m stressed at the store, when I’m weary at the end of a long week, when I’m breaking up fights between my kids, for the billionth time…I want to speak from a heart that overflows because it is UNDIVIDED in my love and devotion to Him…
But, I guess I’m not sure how to get there! What do you think??
Please share your WEDNESDAY WISDOM with us below!! Please only link to ONE post, though you can come back and leave more links, separately, if you wish! If you are writing a new post, please link back to His Mercy is New so everyone can find all our Wednesday Wisdom together! 🙂
