As you know, we are nearing the end of a Exploring Creation Human Anatomy
for Elementary age kids…we have LOVED our science this year! We have had great fun with 2 other families meeting weekly to do projects and experiments.
Chapter 11: Your Senses
Life-Size Ear Activity
{this is a great hands-on activity that my friend Michelle gave me, you set up an “ear” for the kids to crawl through!!}
Once inside the ear (under our table) the kids found a hammer, stirrup, a shell with water for the cochlea, an extension cord for the auditory nerve, a picture of an anvil, a homemade drum for the eardrum. We talked about each piece and what it does in our ear.

Sense of Taste: Blind-fold Taste Test!
And then we dissected a cow’s EYEBALL!!! Yay! Much thanks, again, to Jennifer for walking us through the dissection. I think this was my favorite dissection so far, we could see SO many of the actual parts of the eye, it was amazing!!
