As I began praying Scriptures more regularly a few years ago, I learned that there are many people in my life that I could pray for in this same way!! We can pray for our children using God’s own word. This gives me the assurance that I need that I am praying in accordance with God’s will.
As I pray through various Scriptures, I have often found myself praying these same verses for other special people in my life:
- my husband
- our sponsored children
- my children’s future spouses
- my extended family members
- our church
- my close friends
Today, as you pray for your children, remember to pray especially for those children around the world who may not have a believing parent to pray for them. Pray for the children that you sponsor. Make it a habit to pray for your sponsored children daily with your own children. This is another beautiful way to teach your children the importance of intercession.
“Father, let us love one another with the love that comes from you. And as we love each other, live in us, Lord, and make your love complete in us. We know that true love can only come from You.” 1 John 4:7, 12.
