“And God is ABLE to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things and at all times, having ALL you need, you WILL abound in every good work.” 2 Cor. 9:8
I wanted to share a few more details about our schedule so that you can be praying specifically during our trip.
First of all, thank you SO MUCH for your prayers and encouragement! Your prayers will be carrying me through miles (literally) of trekking that I know without a doubt I cannot do in my own strength!! Your prayers will strengthen us!! God has already used so many of you to encourage me at just the right moment when I have needed it!
One thing that has been a bit nerve wracking, but also SO exciting is that many things on this trip will ONLY be accomplished through God’s strength and His supernatural power. This is SO EXCITING to me because honestly, in my day-to-day life, I don’t have things that challenge me to live out my faith to this extent on a regular basis!
I have told God, “I’m not strong enough to do this!! But YOU ARE!!” I praise Him and am thanking Him in advance that He is going with me and that He will work in my weakness to show HIMSELF worthy!!
I will be singing this song as I trek those miles and miles, with God as my strength…

Specific Prayer Requests
- Trekking — we will be going miles each day, I don’t feel at all prepared for this – this will HAVE to be a God thing – which is scary and exciting at the same time. 🙂
- While trekking – prayer walking, sharing, witnessing, and TEACHING our guide to READ!! pray for supernatural power on both of our parts to accomplish His perfect will
- Praising God for His work in the lives of this village – if I can help one Christian sister learn to read, this could change eternity for the village – they will be able to learn about the Bible!!
- rest and energy and strength – we will be going without a lot of sleep
- softened hearts that we will encounter – eager for the hope of Jesus
- unity for our team of 7
- that we will be listening so closely for the Holy Spirit’s voice as we share, teach, and pray with those we encounter
- encouragement for the persecuted Christians we may encounter
