In the study Experiencing God (Unit 3), there’s a powerful reflection exercise that asks you to list how you’re currently investing your time.
What things are you investing in that are PASSING AWAY — and what things are you investing in that are ETERNAL?
I was convicted by that question in the study, and then just days later, I was convicted yet again with this quote from Piper:
We give time to what we prioritize. When you intentionally look at how you spend your time, you can so easily see where your priorities lie — and which of those things actually have eternal value.
I pray that the things I share here are of eternal value and truly make a difference in someone’s life, but I know there are other times when I choose to scroll instead of pray.
Sometimes I scroll instead of pray.
Sometimes I turn on mindless TV instead of having a hard conversation.
Sometimes I waste time instead of opening my Bible.
“People who struggle to spend time with God don’t have a scheduling problem, they have a love problem.” — Experiencing God

That hits hard — but in the best, most needed way.
I’m asking myself what adjustments I need to make about these convictions and priorities. What about you??
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…
Will I choose the way of repentance and obedience, or will I keep walking the wrong direction — i.e., sin? The choice is up to me.
May this be an invitation to pause today and take stock. What are we truly investing in — and is it something that will last? 💭
