I'm about 2 chapters into the book Spectacular Sins by John Piper. VERY interesting and VERY timely in our world today! This quote that I read a few days ago was so good that I wanted to share it with you... "All that came into being exists for Christ - that is, everything exists to display the greatness of Christ. Nothing - nothing! - in the universe exists for its own sake. Everything - from the bottom of the oceans to the top of the mountains, from the smallest particle to the ... More Rainforest Fun…
We are continuing on with our Rainforest unit study...I wanted to share one fun idea that we did last week. We had a rainforest taste test! How great is that?!?! :) The kids woke up to a rainforest display table this morning! I set up the books we'll be reading, chocolate, and various fruits/spices/foods from the rainforest as ... I just baked a cake in a bundt pan and cut it in half to set it on it's side and look like a "tomb" with an opening. I colored coconut green for the grass and put a small piece of white felt inside the EMPTY tomb to represent Jesus' grave wrappings. HE IS RISEN!! ... Read More about Our Tomb Cake
