Through Christ I am forgiven.
Through Christ I am a new creation.
Through Christ I am brave and courageous.
Through Christ I am content.
Through Christ I have supernatural peace.
Through Christ I am free to be who He created me to be.
I don’t know about you, but I need nearly constant reminders of who I am in Christ. I need to preach the gospel to my own heart daily — because I need the good news of Jesus as much as anyone.
This new Bible Journaling Devotional Kit from Dayspring and Illustrated Faith is that reminder for me.
And this month, I decided to share the love with my children.
We’ve had some rough days around here. (I share a little bit more here where God reminded me that my job was not to fix my children.)
So, one morning, when my kids got up, I had their weekly To-Do list for school out on the table with a little love note from me. I used the Illustrated Faith cards that came in this kit to write a note on each card with using the verse as encouragement to share with them!
We have struggled in our home to speak words of LIFE to each other. I have been convicted of this and looking for ways to ENCOURAGE my children. My personality tends toward the negative and being critical. I have to constantly be aware of my words.
These cards helped me to do just that with my children. I told my kids that with CHRIST IN THEM they are forgiven, free, brave and courageous. We can be confident IN HIM because of who HE is, not because of who we are or what we’ve done.
Be encouraged today, friend. You are loved and cherished and forgiven and free because of CHRIST IN YOU. He is the HOPE of glory! Our ONLY hope!!

I am new to Bible Journaling. I actually haven’t done a page, yet. But, one thing I have a problem with is writing or covering the words in the Bible. What if I want to read that passage at a later date? Does that make sense? B thanks for your great posts on this topic. God bless!
