When my children were little, every Thanksgiving we would memorize Psalm 100 together. I have such happy memories of my little three, four and five year olds reciting God’s Word with praises of thanksgiving to Him!
When we speak aloud His Word we are affirming Him, we are praising Him, we are asking for the Lord’s will to be done in our lives!

Psalm 100
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
A Prayer Based on Psalm 100
Lord, I come before you with joyful praises! Help me to always serve you with gladness. I come before You with singing and worship. I know and acknowledge you as Lord, You are God. It is You who made us, not we ourselves; we are Your people, the sheep of Your pasture.
Thank you for making me Your sheep. You are a loving Shepherd and I trust You.
I will enter Your presence with thanksgiving and praise. I come before You with a thankful heart and bless Your Name. For You are good, Your mercy is everlasting, and Your truth endures to all generations.

oh, girl.modrobes were the staple of my wardrobe when i was 13-14. that was only 8 years ago! we do not need a revival. (plus, they are not workable.)if i start to see JNCOs around, i will give up. i think i now know how some folks feel when they see me in floral dresses and docs. yeurgh.
