A Weekend Gone Bad

We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend away at a cabin that some relatives own.

Only a 2 hour drive…

A free cabin in a beautiful spot…

Gorgeous state and national parks within a few miles…

It was a FREE state-park weekend (meaning we would not have to pay for pool entrance!!)

Buuuuut…..

One boy throwing temper tantrums so much so that I cannot take him into Chick-Fil-A…

Same boy picking at his hand and blood everywhere…

Same boy gets carsick on windy roads and throws up all in his seat…

One girl who gets stung by a wasp…

Another girl whose lip starts swelling with some type of reaction…

And finally, plumbing problems that could not be fixed over the weekend. Major plumbing problems. Problems that would not allow us to continue using the plumbing system. At all.

So, we’re home now.

Oh well, we did get in 1 short trip to the pool, have a beautiful drive…AND I started (and finished) a REALLY GOOD BOOK!! (Thanks, Melissa!)

Anybody up for a trip to the mountains? We know of this really nice cabin…
