Caleb and I spent the week with the cute little black doggy named Angus, from the book by Marjorie Flack entitled Angus Lost. I happened to realize that this is my LAST YEAR to do all things “preschool” with any of my kids. (‘scuze me as I go weep in the bathroom.) So, I need to be pulling out all these wonderful Before Five in a Row titles, other preschool favorites and fitting them in. Now!
Caleb just eats up anything I find for him to do! I haven’t known how he would enjoy homeschooling…and I still really technically don’t, as I haven’t ever *pushed* anything academic on him yet. The bar is raised high though, with 2 girls who LOVE school, and so I’ve been anticipating a bit of let down with this next wild boy of mine. 🙂 But, he continues to surprise me. Which makes me realize all the more that I need to be taking advantage of this time with him!I found most of these lapbook pieces from Homeschool Share, where else?
And what perfect timing for an awesome field trip coming up this week where we will get to see underground lakes and CAVES!! Since Angus got lost and ended up in a cave in part of our story, this field trip will be even more fun since it ties to our recent story!

I hear ya! My “baby” starts Kinder tomorrow. I have great plans for she and I this year including lots of good books. Your posts on books and how you use them are an encouragement to me!

Angus Lost is a favorite BFIAR book at our house too. Just the other day, my girls were remembering our cave under the kitchen table 2 years ago! 🙂
