O Lord and Master of my life, keep me from the spirit of indifference and discouragement, lust of power and idle chatter.
Instead, grant to me, Your servant, the spirit of wholeness of being, humble-mindedness, patience and love.
O Lord and King, grant to me the grace to be aware of my sins and not to judge my brother, for You are blessed now and ever and forever. Amen
{ancient Lenten prayer}
Lent will be beginning soon; I am called to prayer. I am called to a time of focus. I am called to quiet and still my heart and turn my heart towards Him with a more determined purpose. I am called to remember. I will be remembering His sacrifice, His suffering, His cross, His blood.
Remembering, planning, preparing…waiting.
Be still and know that I am God.
**I plan to post Lent resources and links very soon! If you have neat ideas you have seen around the web, please share a link!

Thank you for posting about this. I was just wondering when Lent started this year. Time for me to start thinking about what I will give up this year. Last year I gave up Facebook. 😉

I am eager to see your plans and ideas for Lent. I just was reminded of Ann Voskamp’s son’s handiwork as an idea to use with Lent (along with Christmas and waiting for ascension).
I normally don’t do anything new for Lent but I’m contemplating doing something… I just don’t know what yet. You always give me lots to think about.

O.k. I’ve been thinking about this more and more, especially this weekend. I have a love/hate affair with the internet and blogs. I think I’m on this key-filled contraption way too much. I’m thinking what, if anything, I want to do for Lent. And what popped into my head was a fast from something computer based. But I school so much based from the computer so it would hard. Not impossible but a hard thing so I’m still thinking about it.

looking forward to it!!
