I know there are several of you reading this book right now, and I would LOVE to hear from you!! Or, if you have only been following along with my posts on the book, I would love to hear how you are doing too! I have been praying for many of you by name, if you left me a comment stating you were on this journey with me…so let’s hear it! 🙂
I am still down 13 pounds…I seem to be at a little bit of a plateau. But, I have cheated a few times with my eating…it’s time to get back to it. The exercise has been going beautifully…for the first time ever in my life!! yay, God!! You can read this post from a few days ago on answered prayer where I wrote a little bit more about my exercising lately.
I keep telling myself that though the pounds are not falling off, I am HEALTHIER than I was a few months ago, and that keeps me motivated to keep going.
I have been doing the Couch to 5K program, which I had heard of but never tried. And, to be honest, there is an app for that! ha! And the app, in my opinion, is what has kept me going!! It is awesome…it tells you when to start running, when to walk, how much time you have left AND lets you play your own music while you walk and jog.
I have been reading (on the iPad) and walking, worshipping and praying…and God has gotten me through 4 weeks of this program, which includes 2-5 minute runs each time you walk/run in week 4! 3 weeks ago, I could never have jogged for 5 minutes, I promise you that!
So, I just wanted to re-cap and hear from YOU!! Please let me know how you are doing!! Chapter 9 in Made to Crave is on EXCERCISE!! Do you have any tips??
I would especially love to hear from any of you who are non-athletic (like me) but who have picked up exercise and it has become a HABIT and ENJOYABLE for you in the long run!

Candace,
I added the Couch to 5K program to my running routine last week and I jumped in at Week 4. I’m so excited to find someone who is at the same stage in the training I am. Oddly enough I’ve lost 13 lbs too! Congrats on your loss! I haven’t read Made to Crave yet but I have really enjoyed reading your reviews as you go along. I’m looking forward to picking it up soon!

Please keep pryaing for me. Feeling like a failure in all my goal areas. I started out typing all my excuses, but really that’s all they are.
Hugs,
Michelle

A Positive report about exercise…we went roller skating for Dimitri’s 10th B-day. We skated for two hours. It was a blast! We were so tired when we left, but I must say that afterwards……..I had more energy!! Is that crazy or what??

HI Candace!
I’ve been reading off and on for a while. Need to be more consistent and put it into practice!

I am very late to this party… I started reading Made to Crave a few months ago and while I was enjoying it, I got busy, put it down and just haven’t gone back. I began running back in March (couch to 5k – I found a Christian Indie one that features all Christian music and that really helps). I ran my first 5k “race” back in June and having the music that I had come to love really helped. Now, I am working on a 5 – 8k programme and while I have to be honest and admit that I don’t always feel like running, I feel so much stronger and so proud of myself!

I haven’t checked in in a while, so I know I’m a bit behind. But, CONGRATS on the weight loss! I’m getting ready to get this book, too. Just had a friend at church tell me about this very book at VBS this week. I definitely need to try it out. It’s soooo discouraging to think of starting my healthy journey over. This time last year I was working so hard and lost so much… only to stop completely and gain every bit of it back. My friend had the same issue and is now doing great. Time to get myself on the road to consistency. I’m so proud of you, Candace!
