I am so excited to share with you a wonderful new advent resource to use with your children!! As you know, I’m a huge fan of advent and Christmas traditions…we have done so many wonderful activities over the years.
One of my favorite bloggers, who shares fabulous ideas for incorporating faith into your parenting, is Amanda at Impress Your Kids. When I saw that she had a new advent resource out, I volunteered to share it here with you on my blog!! Her new e-book is called Truth in the Tinsel. (This is really more than an e-book, it is a fabulous advent resource with activities and Scriptures to read daily with your children. On Amanda’s blog she calls it an “advent experience” because it is more than a devotional, more than a list of craft ideas.)
What is wonderful about this resource is that it is PERFECT for the younger crowd. If you are like me, you’ve probably picked up resources or even tried resources that are just too old. It’s such a disappointment as a parent trying to find things that are age appropriate specifically for Advent because a lot of it is just over their heads.
Well, if you have preschoolers or early elementary aged kiddos, you will want to check out Truth in the Tinsel. It is wonderfully age appropriate, full of Scriptures that tell the Christmas story, and fun, SIMPLE crafts to do each day with your children. Perfect.
If you want to share Jesus with your young children through this Christmas season, Truth in the Tinsel is the perfect way to do that!
What I love about Truth in the Tinsel:
- perfect, age appropriate for preschoolers
- the crafts are simple and doable
- materials are things you’d find around your home
- daily you will be sharing Scripture with your little ones
- all the printables are ready to go – as soon as you order, just print and you’ll be ready to start!
- ideas for conversations to have with your child about each craft and Scripture
Truth in the Tinsel Advent Challenge: for the month of December, Amanda will be going through this e-book daily with her children and sharing ideas on the facebook page created for Truth in the Tinsel. You can join in the fun and share your own advent adventures with others going through the e-book together!!
