Today our family was blessed to be at my youngest brother’s church as they ordained him and prayed for his family as they move to Guatemala tomorrow. It was a precious time of worship and so very sweet to hear the prayers of this body of believers for my brother and his family.
We truly have so much to be thankful for…
family
our home
that God calls us and God uses us.
My Side of the Mountain – we listened to the audio version of this in the van for a few weeks as we went to piano, church, etc. And it was SO good!! Caleb seems to love these “survival” type stories – so if you have any other titles to recommend in this genre, especially if the AUDIO is good, I am looking for more to listen to in the car. 🙂
ants. 🙂 sounds silly, but I have loved listening to my kids as they watch them and as they get excited about all the little things that ants do.
a fabuous, fabulous last minute night away with some friends to hear Lysa TerKeurst speak!! what a gift!! she is such a wonderful speaker. And she was talking about dealing with conflicts and our different types of reactions – from her recent book, Unglued, which now I have to order PRONTO. I think I need to read and study and pray about this topic. (I am a STUFFER, what about you?)
a precious email from a long distance friend that I haven’t seen in awhile. made my day…
Caleb’s team winning this week in soccer! Caleb scored 2 goals! Those soccer games are kind of intense! ha! I find myself really on the edge of my seat! 🙂 It’s fun!!
FALL is here!!
cooler temperatures
pulling out the jeans and long sleeved shirts
hand-me-downs!! yipee!! (thanks, melissa!!)
our parenting class at church – it’s been so good!!
31 days of praying the psalms – starting tomorrow!! I’m excited about this series!
a fabulous edible hike at our local state park!! the park ranger did a great job teaching us about all the plants in the woods and outdoors! i never knew there were so many edible things out there! (not that it would be enough to keep me full. ha! some of them are pretty interesting!)
a sweet, sweet little church in knoxville that loves my brother and his family – I loved being in their midst today, hearing them sing, watching a little old man with his hands raised high, hearing him say ‘amen’ time and time again. just a really sweet part of the Body. so genuine and loving.
