How is your summer going, friends? I can’t believe June is almost over! Now that we are mostly settled into our new home I am enjoying days at the pool with my kids, reading on my new front porch, making plans for fall and just ENJOYING this summer!!
I mentioned earlier this summer that I was taking some time off in June and as it stands now, I’m continuing that break for a little longer. 🙂 I just wanted to pop in here, say HI and give y’all a heads up about what is coming your way!
Books I’m Enjoying This Summer
All the Light We Cannot See– this was our latest book club read and I loved it. This was one of those books I didn’t want to end. I didn’t expect to love this one, historical fiction isn’t typically my absolute favorite genre, but the writing and characters in this book will draw you in. Oh, so good!! (a little language in 1-2 spots)
Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World– I’m blessed to be on the launch team for this new book that comes out soon! You can pre-order here, and you will want to. This book has come at the PERFECT time for me. Slowing down, reevaluating, and finding what is most important. You might recall that A Million Little Ways: Uncover the Art You Were Made to Live, also by Emily, is one of my all time favorite books. So, when given the opportunity to read a NEW book from a FAVORITE author, I grabbed it!!
What Alice Forgot – This was another book that came highly recommended by one of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 There is more language in this one than I would like, including the f word. Boo. But, the story grabbed me so much that I had to know what happened to Alice! LOL!! I still say it’s a great story. If you need a quick fiction read for the pool or beach, this is it! {Read Elizabeth Foss’s thoughts on this book and you may see why I wanted to read it!}
Coming soon to the blog…
Homeschooling Again: It’s Not About Me (a lot of y’all have had questions about our decision to homeschool again, I will be doing an entire post sharing my heart and some of what is ahead for our family!)
Don’t forget about the monthly Scriptures to Pray: July – praying for our enemies, August – praying for our pastors, September – praying for our schools & teachers and then October…
31 Prayers for Our Home (coming as a 31 day series in October!)
Thank You!
As always, your notes and messages of encouragement and prayers do not go unnoticed. YOU are appreciated greatly and loved by The Father deeply!!
Tell me in the comments how YOUR summer has been going??
