Change your thoughts, change your life? Really?
I’ve heard this said before and quite honestly I always thought it was hooey. (Is hooey actually a word?)
But, after working on my own mindset I am learning more and more that what we think about determines our moments, our days and therefore our lives.
We can have a fixed mindset that believes we are stuck, we are hopeless, we will never change.
Or we can have a growth mindset that believes we CAN change. I believe that Romans 12:2 is the Biblical proof of this mindset and that growth mindset is a God-given gift to us!
Romans 12:2 tells us that we can be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our minds. This means that CHANGE (transformation) is possible!
How? By renewing our minds! MINDSET!
Romans 12:2 and Philippians 4:8 are becoming my go-to verses for learning to change my thoughts and my mindset. God’s Word tells us this is possible and it tells us how. Do you have a Philippians 4:8 mindset or are you stuck dwelling on all the negative things in your life and in the world?? Ask me how I know that ruminating on the bad will radically and negatively impact your life! So, we must learn that the opposite has the power to transform just as strongly!!
What we think about matters!
I’m sharing more about how I am learning to change my own mindset in this video!

- Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck (not Biblically based but still VERY helpful!)
- Self Coaching 101 by Brooke Castilo (also not Biblically based but super helpful for learning to coach yourself to change your thoughts)
