Scripture: Exodus 13:21-22
“And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.”
Considering Light:
In this Scripture we see the definition of light coming to life in the life of the Israelites, the Lord physically “made things visible” for them as they traveled. The Lord provided the Israelites with a fire to guide them through the night.
How has God made things visible in your own life? How has God provided light in times of darkness? How has He shown Himself faithful to you in the darkest seasons?
Prayer:
Lord, God, You are light. You light our path with Your wisdom, Your love, the radiance of Your beauty. We know we are not alone, even in our darkest moments, because You have provided a Light for our path.
