“The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:14-18
In the Waiting
The Lord upholds you. He gives you food in due season. He satisfies the desire of every living thing. He is righteous and kind. He is near to all who call on Him.
Oh precious ones, no matter how your world is falling apart, He is upholding you…He is gathering you into His arms and holding you close. We can trust our loving Heavenly Father to give us what we need, when we need it. He is righteous and kind, when His children call out to Him, He hears and He gives us what we need.
We see in Luke 11 that when a son asks for a fish the loving father cannot give him a serpent. “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11: 13.
We must trust Him, He loves you so much and He knows what you need. He is near all who call on Him! In your “falling apart” He is near.
Prayer
Oh Lord, I proclaim Your goodness even when it feels like there is bad happening all around me. You uphold us when we fall, you raise us up as we bow to you in humility. You open Your hands and give good things to Your children. You are righteous and kind in all Your works. You are near to me, help me feel Your closeness and Your touch today, Father.
