I just finished up blogging through the book Fearless by Max Lucado. (If you struggle with fear at all, check out these posts.)
I recently asked on facebook what book we should read next together! AND I hope to do a few facebook live videos throughout our book study, too!! Fun! {“Like” my blog’s facebook page to get notified whenever I come on with a live video!}
I asked for a vote between 3 books…and the next book we will be reading together is…
Loving Our Kids on Purpose by Danny Silk
We will be starting with the first post about the Loving Our Kids on Purpose book on May 6th! That gives you plenty of time to grab your book! Like I did with Fearless, I will have a new post up EACH FRIDAY pertaining to this book! I would love for you to chime in with your thoughts about each chapter as well!
I read this book a few years ago and I realized I needed to read it again! So, I plan to read it right along with you as we discuss meaningful quotes from the book, practical tips and other ideas we glean from the book! I also hope we can encourage each other on this parenting journey and pray for one another as well! There are questions at the end of each chapter that will help us to have discussions, too.

A Prayer As We Start
I wanted to encourage you to prayerfully consider reading this book with us. I know when we join together and focus our hearts on a certain topic, asking the Lord to teach us, He is faithful. I believe this book can be very encouraging and will be a paradigm shift even for some of us. So, as we begin, LET’S PRAY over this study and for one another!
Father God, thank You that where two or three of us are gathered — even across the miles — you are present and You are with us. You hear our prayers and You are faithful to answer. God, as parents, we are desperate for Your wisdom, Your truth, Your love and Your grace to permeate our homes. Please guide us, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and with the tools You have blessed us with, to be the parents You have called us to be. We come together and lift up each and every parent joining us in this study. Make us more like You, Jesus. For your glory. Amen.
Let’s Read, Write & Pray through Galatians with Book Discussion
There is a lot of reference to FREEDOM and PEACE in Loving Our Kids on Purpose. So, I wanted to try and tie some Scripture to our book study.
Join me starting May 1st as we write and pray through Galatians!

Book Description
From Amazon:
Loving Our Kids on Purpose combines the principles of the Kingdom of God and revival to form a powerful strategy for parents.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). Rather than the traditional approaches that train children to learn to accept being controlled by well-meaning parents and adults, this book teaches parents how to train children to manage their freedoms and protect their important heart-to-heart relationships.
Children were designed with the core need of freedom. To deny this or live ignorant of it eventually destroys the trust connection between parent and child.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love (1 John 4:18 NKJV).
Loving Our Kids on Purpose introduces paradigms, perceptions, skills, and ideas that will help parents reduce fear by eliminating the tool of punishment and strengthening the core character of their children by empowering their self-control and value for their relationship with their parents.
