Since it has been raining all week this is the first opportunity we’ve had to be outside at all! So, we went on a nature walk! Glorious Flight Fun!
This week we are rowing Glorious Flight. A loooooong time ago I found these styrofoam planes at Big Lots and bought them for when we row this book. Some Squirrely fun!
Today we had all kinds of squirrely fun! First of all, we took the idea from MacBeth’s Grey Squirrel Project and had an acorn hunt in the backyard. I printed off a bunch of acorns, because we didn’t have any real ones. We also wrote the kids initals on the acorns. We gave each little “squirrel” a pile of acorns and told them to pretend they were squirrels and were going to quickly hide all their acorns to save them up for winter. We actually got a head start on our squirrel-y learning yesterday! And 2 of the books that we read were SO good that I wanted to share them. Again. This first book is called Earl the Squirrel.
